25013 FPGA2: FPGA design with RISC-V Microcontroller using Libero SoC Tools (August 2025)
In this class, you will gain hands-on experience in implementing a simple FPGA based RISC-V microcontroller with customized memory and peripherals using Libero SoC design tools.
In this class, you will gain hands-on experience in implementing a simple FPGA based RISC-V microcontroller with customized memory and peripherals using Libero SoC design tools. You will select and configure RISC-V processor, memory, and peripheral IP cores, use a SmartDesign canvas to interconnect IP cores, and build your custom microcontroller. By the end of the class, you will have developed the skills to design a custom microcontroller tailored to your unique needs.
Prerequisites:
Basic understanding of FPGA design flow and microcontroller architecture would be helpful.
