Introduction to the MPLAB Extensions for VS Code, offering a familiar development environment for existing VS Code users.
This is a recorded version of the MASTERs 2025 course "25019 DEV1 - Getting Started with MPLAB Extensions in VS Code."
This course introduces attendees to the MPLAB Extensions for VS Code, offering a familiar development environment for existing VS Code users. Participants will gain hands-on experience with the MPLAB Extensions for VS Code, learning how to download and install the extensions, create new projects using the project wizard, and build and program their projects on a development board. The class will also cover debugging techniques for running targets and introduce the MPLAB AI Coding Assistant. By the end of the course, attendees will have the foundational skills to efficiently develop, program, and debug embedded applications using MPLAB Extensions in VS Code.
Prerequisites:
Knowledge of embedded C programming.
