Agenda

Session 1:
PHY's, Switches, Bridges, Controllers

Using a practical “What Problem Does This Product Solve?” approach to real-world challenges, you will learn about best practices and insights for efficient switch management, as well as live demos with our latest evaluation tools and software to accelerate prototyping with advanced Ethernet switches and transceivers. You'll also have a preview of our new & future products so you can get a first look at upcoming solutions including our next-generation transceivers and switches.

Session 2:
Single Pair Ethernet and 10BASE-T1S

Understand Single Pair Ethernet Standards from 1000BASE-T1, 100BASE-T1 down to multi-drop 10BASE-T1S, and key design considerations for migrating legacy Information and Operation Technology buses to Single Pair Ethernet. Look “under the hood” of this technology through a deep dive of 10BASE-T1S technology and PLCA. Discover that Single Pair Ethernet technology offers support for Precision Time Protocol, Time Sensitive Networks, Wake and Sleep, Power Over Data Line, Security, Remote Control, Advanced Diagnostics, Quality of Service, and more!

Session 3:
Network Access and Bridging Technologies

Don't have enough USB or Ethernet Ports? Learn about Ethernet Bridge, Controller and USB devices which enable you to implement Ethernet connectivity to your host processor. Our experts will cover extending your device connectivity over USB, PCIe, and SPI using our family of bridges and hubs, including practical approaches to USB and PCIe to Ethernet Bridging as well as the latest 10BASE-T1S MAC-PHY Device.

Session 4:
Security Considerations and CRA (Cyber Resilience Act)

You will learn how the European Union Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) introduces sweeping requirements that will fundamentally reshape how connected products are designed, developed, and supported throughout their lifecycle. This presentation provides a comprehensive overview of the CRA’s scope, obligations, and timelines, highlighting its impact on product development, compliance strategies, and business risk management.

Session 5:
Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Redundancy

This presentation offers an introduction to Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), a transformative technology enabling deterministic, reliable, and secure communication over Ethernet networks. Attendees will gain foundational knowledge of TSN’s technical components—including Precision Time Protocol (PTP), traffic shaping, time-aware scheduling, per-stream filtering, seamless redundancy, and frame replication for reliability.

We plan to provide live demonstrations, subject to availability:

  • Agile Internet of Things with Motor Control
  • 10BASE-T1S Wake Sleep and Power over Data  Line (PoDL) Demo
  • 10BASE-T1S Endpoint Solutions
  • USB Hubs featuring FlexConnect
  • High Performance Compute with Camera Demo using  PCIe and ASA-ML
  • Time Sensitive Networking (TSN)-Enabled Industrial Ethernet Switches and Redundancy
  • 10BASE-T1S Multi Sensor Actuator Network

25049 ETH1: Fundamentals of Single Pair Ethernet Standards and their Applications (August 2025)

In this class you will learn the essential features of Single Pair Ethernet standards—from multidrop 10BASE-T1S to multi-Gigabit point-to-point—how they compare to legacy Ethernet and field bus solutions, and the key design considerations, network configurations, and advanced capabilities (such as Precision Time Protocol, Time Sensitive Networks, Power Over Data Line, and security) for successfully migrating to Single Pair Ethernet

25051 ETH3: Securing Ethernet with MACsec and MKA (MACsec Key Agreement) (August 2025)

In this class you will learn about the IEEE MACsec and IEEE MKA specifications, including how MACsec provides encryption, decryption, and authentication for Ethernet networks, how the MACsec Key Agreement (MKA) protocol manages key exchange and handshaking, and how these security features are applied and demonstrated in a 10BASE-T1S multi-drop network setup.

25053 ETH5: Introduction to EtherCAT: Unlocking Real-Time Communication in Industrial Networks (Aug 2025)

In this class you will learn about EtherCAT technology, including its architecture, network topology, real-time application examples, and the hardware and software tools for development, with a live demonstration of real-time EtherCAT debugging and troubleshooting to equip you with practical knowledge for designing and debugging EtherCAT systems.

25099 SEC8: Cyber Resilience Act (August 2025)

In this class you will learn how to design embedded products for hostile cyber environments by implementing features such as Key Management, Secure Boot, Vulnerability Management, Threat and Risk Analysis, SBoM, and Threat Modeling, while understanding new regulatory requirements for availability, authenticity, integrity, and confidentiality, and mastering the processes needed for secure, cyber resilient products.
